Amy Borkowsky has been
saving her answering machine
messages for over a decade. She
first realized that the messages which
drive her crazy could be entertaining to
others when she began performing stand-up
comedy. She gathered some of her mother's most
extreme messages and played them on stage, at
venues including New York's top comedy clubs, and
audiences consistently howled.

Amy's television appearances include interviews on the
"Today" show, on the CBS "Early Show," and "National
Enquirer TV" profiled her as "the comedian who's making a
career out of listening to her mother." In 2008, Amy appeared on GMTV (Europe's most watched
morning TV show!) to announce the "Cellibacy" project, in which she gave up her cell phone for sixty
days, a feat also covered by the BBC, Fox News and in a series of articles in the New York Daily News.

Amy's CDs have been played on hundreds of radio stations, from New York's WPLJ to KRLA in LA and
on National Public Radio. (Catch Amy on NPR's latest "Driveway Moments" CD in early 2009.) Amy is
also the author of the best-selling Amy's Answering Machine book, which has spent Mothers' Day in the
#1 position on Amazon. Amy perfoms and speaks at events across the country and appeared in the
prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. She is also the author of STATEMENTS: True Tales of
Life, Love, and Credit Card Bills, a lighthearted look at her life based on her collection of American
    Express statements,

Prior to launching her comedy career, Amy was Executive Vice President and Creative Group
Head at a major Manhattan advertising agency, where she won dozens of awards including five
Clios, three Cannes Festival lions, and an Emmy. Amy now devotes herself exclusively to
performing, speaking, and developing new comedy projects. (Click for
